After a very chilly start to the market season in April we were relieved that the forecast for the May date was predicting better. The day did not disappoint and a beautiful warm, sunny start the May Bank holiday weekend brought out shoppers a-plenty. It was wonderful to see so many people there, from babes in arms to their grandparents, solo shoppers, family groups and friends. The friendly buzz was great and despite the chat all around there was clearly some dedicated shopping too, as the bread disappeared apace, followed by several other stalls completely selling out! The coffee did not sell out but the queue for the van was several deep and it was fabulous to see the pop-up cafe so busy.
We are so grateful to everyone who helps to make the market what it is, our fantastic stall holders, the Conygre Trust and Derek at the hall who host us, those people and organisations that have supported us financially this year, our growing band of essesntial volunteers, and of course all of the marketgoers who come along to shop and support us. We’ll be back on 29th June and look forward to seeing you all and doing it all over again.
